GPP Plays:
Tom Brady ($6,800)
Analysis: I like Brady a lot for tournaments this week. The Rams are definitely the toughest matchup the Bucs have seen this season. They have a great defense and I’m hoping that keeps the ownership on a guy like Brady down. Brady has been playing amazing so far in 2021. He has 9 TD’s in two games, which puts him on track to break Peyton Manning’s record of 55 TD’s in a season right now. If the tough matchup keeps Brady’s ownership down in week 3, he is a spectacular GPP option at QB.
Saquon Barkley ($6,500)
Analysis: This feels like the breakout game for Saquon on the 2021 season. He’s been continuing to recover from his injury through the first 2 games of the season. He played about 45% of the snaps in week 1 and that jumped up to over 80% of the snaps in week 2. He’s not listed on the Giants injury report for week 3 so he should be 100% and back to his full role in the offense. It’s a great matchup vs the Falcons and I’m very high on Barkley this week.
D'Andre Swift ($5,800)
Analysis: I’m a big fan of D’Andre Swift if you’re looking for a low-mid range RB option in week 3. Baltimore is an 8 point favorite in this game and that’s great for a guy like Swift who gets a lot of opportunity in the passing game. Swift has 16 targets and 12 targets through the first 2 games of the season, and Lions head coach Dan Campbell just came out and said that the team needs to work on getting Swift more involved after the Lions loss to the Packers in week 2. So we have a receiving back at just $5,800 who’s going to be in a game where his team is playing from behind and forced into passing situations, and his head coach is saying he needs to be more involved in the offense. All signs point to a good game from Swift in week 3.
Scotty Miller ($3,100)
Analysis: I’ve already mentioned Miller in the value plays article, but I have to mention him as a GPP option as well. Miller should be playing the Antonio Brown role in this Buccaneers offense with AB on the COVID list. Miller is a speedy playmaker with big play ability. With Jalen Ramsey focused more on Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, a lot of opportunity could open up for Scotty Miller at $3,100.

Mecole Hardman ($3,900)
Analysis: I think Mecole Hardman is a good way to get some exposure to the explosive Chiefs offense without having to sacrifice a lot of salary. He hasn’t done much this season and it’s definitely not an optimal play, but Hardman does play the #2 WR in one of the leagues best offenses and he is a big play kind of guy so he does have some upside at this price tag.
James Washington ($4,000)
Analysis: Washington is going to be stepping up as the Steelers #3 receiver in week 3 due to Diontae Johnson being out. Washington is a guy we have seen big games from when he’s had opportunity over the years. Diontae Johnson is had 22 targets through the first 2 games and that opportunity has to go somewhere. With Chase Claypool being more of a deep threat for the Steelers offense I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Washington get a decent amount of targets here in week 3.
