GPP Plays:

DET @ MIN Game Stack

Analysis: One of my favorite tournament stacks this week is the Lions @ Vikings. I’m a big fan of stacking Kirk Cousins with Justin Jefferson and bringing it back with T.J. Hockenson or Kalif Raymond. Kirk Cousins has 38+ pass attempts in 3/4 games and, although the Lion are very bad, they’ve still managed to move the ball on offense and stay competitive in games they probably shouldn’t have. They competed all the way to the end vs the 49ers and would’ve beaten the Ravens if not for Justin Tucker’s longest field goal in NFL history. I like this game a lot of GPP stacks.

Dalvin Cook

Analysis: If you want to target DET @ MIN but aren’t interested in the stack I mentioned above, another way to get exposure here is with Dalvin Cook. Cook is currently Questionable and was limited last week. Because of this, his ownership is going to be low in what is the best possible RB matchup IMO. It’s a risky GPP play because Cook could very well be limited again and not get a lot of opportunity, but he could also not be limited and have a massive game in a great matchup at low ownership. It’s up to you to decide if you want to take that risk.

- Najee + Zeke

Analysis: One of may favorite GPP pivots this week is fading chalk Najee Harris and playing Ezekiel Elliott for $100 more on DraftKings. Najee will be one of the higher owned RB’s yet again because he’s getting so much opportunity in the Pittsburgh offense. He’s playing 90%+ of the snaps and has been very involved in the passing game, with 26 targets in the last 2 games. Because of all this, Najee will have high ownership and I think it’s worth fading him and pivoting onto a guy like Zeke for lower ownership and probably more upside. Zeke is in a great spot vs the Giants as 7 point favorites. Zeke should get plenty of carries in this one and he is always very involved in the passing game.

Tannehill + A.J. Brown / Julio Jones

Analysis: Derrick Henry is looking like the highest owned RB on the slate this week, and for good reason. Henry does look like a great play. The JAX defense is a great matchup for Henry. BUT it’s also a great matchup for Ryan Tannehill and the Titans passing game. A.J. Brown is already fully healthy and will play this week, while Julio Jones has been limited in practice but is still trending towards playing. I think going with a Titans passing stack is a good way to differentiate yourself from the field and create leverage by pivoting off of a chalk Derrick Henry. I prefer A.J. Brown overall but if Julio plays he’s fine to pair with Tannehill as well. I also don’t hate double stacking it and playing both. Just keep in mind that Henry is chalk for a reason. He’s much more likely to have a big game than the Titans passing offense, this is just a risky GPP play for leverage over the field.
