Value Plays:

Jameis Winson, QB ($5,200)

Winston will be one of the higher owned value QB’s, and for good reason. This is the lowest price you’ll see him at all season and we’re only getting him at this price because he wasn’t named the starter by the time DK released pricing.

Although Winston has INT problems, he’s still always been a good DFS option because of the volume he puts up. In his infamous 30 INT season with TB he still threw 300+ yards in 11/16 games and multiple TD’s in 10/16.

I believe Winston will be a better QB with the Saints and he’s a great option if you’re lookin gto pay down at QB in Week1.

Mike Davis, RB ($5,400)

Mike Davis was a DFS favorite last season when CMC went down. He had some massive games while filling in and showed nice upside. He’s a guy that gets very involved in the passing game and I expect him to get a lot of work out of this Atlanta backfield.

Marquez Callaway, WR ($3,400)

Callaway looks to be one of the highest owned players on the slate overall after a big preseason performance. He’s pretty much the WR1 for New Orleans with Michael Thomas out with injury. Callaway and Winston showed some nice chemistry in the preseason and they make for a nice value stack here in Week 1. Just note Callaway will be highly owned so make sure you get different elsewhere if you play him.

Kyle Pitts, TE ($4,400)

Pitts may be the most hyped up TE I’ve ever seen come out of college. He’s crazy athletic and looks more like a RB than a TE when he gets the ball in his hands. I expect him to be the #2 option in the Falcons passing game after Calvin Ridley right off the bat. This will likely be the lowest we see his salary all season. He will be chalk so keep that in mind and get different elsewhere in GPP’s.

Mac Jones, QB ($4,400)

Mac Jones is a value QB that I don’t think is being talked about enough. He looked really sharp in the preseason, beating out Cam Newton for the starting job. The Patriots went big in free agency this off-season, adding a great TE duo in Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith. Mac might not have incredible upside here, but at $4,400 I think he can definitely hit value and allow you to pay up for stars elsewhere.

Pat Freiermuth, TE ($2,500)

Freiermuth is a super value at only $2,500 in Week 1. The rookie looked great in his only preseason game with Big Ben at QB, grabbing 2 redzone TD’s off of acrobatic catches. I expect him to start taking over the #1 TE spot from Eric Ebron immediately and I believe he will be a redzone favorite for Big Ben.
