Core Analysis:

My Personal Go-To – My overall favorite GPP stack this week is Kirk Cousins + Justin Jefferson with s bring back of D’Andre Swift. I choose Swift over Hockenson because there’s a lot of value at TE this week and there’s no reason to pay up for Hockenson.

QB – Not much I have to say about Kyler Murray, we all know he’s a great play every week. Daniel Jones is going to be one of the more popular affordable QB’s this week. He has high rushing upside and he’s in a high total game vs Dallas. While I do think Jones is a fine play, I prefer going to Cousins at a similar price point for lower ownership. Trey Lance will probably be another chalky value QB as he makes his first start for the 49ers. I think he’s a fine punt QB because of his rushing floor. Just know he will be chalky and you need to get different elsewhere in your lineup.

RB – Derrick Henry will be the most popular RB on the slate and for good reason. He’s dominating so far this season, seeing 30+ touches a game and has a great matchup vs the Jaguars. D’Andre Swift is one of my favorite backs on the slate because of his involvement in the Detroit passing game. He’s seeing 6+ targets a game and should see plenty of passing opportunities in this game with the Lions being underdogs vs the Vikings. Leanord Fournette will be one of the more popular backs on this slate. With Giovani Bernard out last week, Fournette took over the 3rd down, pass catching role for Tampa and had a big game. Gio is currently listed as Questionable for this week but is looking good to be active. I like Fournette a lot more if Gio is OUT, but I do still think he’s viable at the price even with Gio in because Tampa should be winning pretty easily in this game, meaning more clock wasting carries for Fournette.

WR – With Derrick Henry looking to be super popular this week, I think we can get Davante Adams at relatively low ownership. I don’t have to tell you Adams is a good play, but getting him at lower ownership would be great. Justin Jefferson is my favorite receiver to pair with Kirk Cousins. He’s playing great so far this season and sees a ton of targets. Adam Thielen has also been touchdown dependent this season and is overpriced in my opinion. Kenny Golladay had a great game with Shepard and Slayton out last week, with them out again this week I’m expecting more of the same. Golladay should see a bunch of opportunities. Kadarius Toney is another guy who benefits from the Giants WR injuries. He filled in last week and caught 6 of his 9 targets for 78 yards. He’s the best value at WR this week and will be very popular. Antonio Brown is simply too cheap not to love. He seen 11 targets in his return last week and is looking more like the #1 receiver in Tampa than the #3. At only $5,200 on DraftKings, he’s one of the best plays on the slate.

TE – There’s a lot of value at TE this week. Jared Cook has seen 5+ targets in 3/4 games and 7+ targets in 2/4 games. He looks great at $3,600. Zach Ertz quietly has 15 targets over the last 2 games and is looking like a #1 TE again at only $3,400. Tyler Conklin is another guy who’s been decently involved lately with 14 targets over the last 2 games. And then you have Cameron Brate who’s filling in for Gronk as the #1 TE in Tampa. He didn’t do much last week, but the opportunity is there. If I had to rank these TE’s I would probably go Ertz > Cook > Brate > Conklin.

BONUS – As a bonus for Week 5, one of my favorite risky GPP stacks is Ryan Tannehill + A.J. Brown with a bring back of James Robinson or Marvin Jones Jr. With Derrick Henry being so popular this week, a Titans passing stack is great way to get different for tournaments and pivot directly off of Henry. It’s a risky play that probably wont pay off, but that’s what it takes to win a tournament.
