Cheat Sheet:

Core Breakdown:

Patrick Mahomes, QB

Andy Reid has come out and said that Mahomes and the other starters will play the entire first half. If that actually happens, Mahomes is the clear-cut QB1 on the slate. However, Reid does have a history of being a little misleading with things like this, including in preseason week 1 where he said the starters will play a full quarter and Mahomes only played 1 drive. Because of this I do think fading Mahomes can be a nice GPP play.

Chris Streveler, QB

Streveler should once again see plenty of playing time this week. He played 48 snaps in the first preseason game and threw for 107 yards to go along with 55 rushing yards. Mahomes should eat up a lot of ownership so I think we can get Streveler at a good %.

Steven Montez, QB

Montez is my QB3 on this slate because he should get plenty of opportunity once again for Washington. He played about 50% of the snaps in week 1 and managed 108 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and 14 rushing yards. I like him again this week and expect similar playing time.

Jaret Patterson, RB

Patterson seen a lot of opportunity in preseason week 1 and I expect similar usage in this game as well. He played 27 snaps, had 10 carries for 40 yards and then also managed 4 catches for 30 yards in the passing game. I like him a lot once again in week 2.

Chris Evans, RB

Evans played 33 snaps in week 1 and should see similar usage in week 2. He had 12 carries for 25 yards, 1 TD and then also caught 4 passes out of the backfield for 33 yards. I love seeing usage like this in the preseason and Chris Evans is one of my favorite backs on the slate.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB

I’m going to trust that Andy Reid is telling the truth when he says that the starters will play a half and include CEH in my core. If he does get a half of play he is easily one of the top backs on the slate. Just note that there is a risk he doesnt actually play a half like Reid is saying.

Tyreek Hill, WR

With Tyreek expected to play a half with Pat Mahomes at QB, he has to be the WR1 on this slate. We know how dangerous he is and how much production he can put up in a very short amount on time.

Mecole Hardman, WR

Same story as Tyreek. If hardman actually does get a half of play with Pat Mahomes he can be one of the top Wr’s on the slate.

KeeSean Johnson, WR

Johnson got a crazy amount of usage opportunity in week 1, playing 75% of the teams snaps. He only seen 3 targets but he ran 28 routes. Regardless of production last week I like him a lot again this week based off of his playing time and opportunity alone.

Rondale Moore, WR

Another Cardinals WR whoe should be highly owned is Rondale Moore. He had a couple of designed runs and a few catches as well. I think he’s more of a cash play because of his ownership, but you can definitely fade him in GPP’s.

Travis Kelce, TE

Kelce has to be the TE1 on this slate with him expected to see a half of play. There’s not much else I need to say.

Logan Thomas, TE

If you are looking to fade Kelce, Logan Thomas is me TE2 for this slate. He should play about a quarter and he’s the 2nd most talented TE on the slate.
