Cash Core:

PG

LeBron James ($9,800)

Playoff LeBron without AD has to be one of the safest possible plays of all time. Lock Bron into your cash lines and don’t look back. He’s probably my favorite spend up on the slate.

James Harden ($10,600)

Outside of the massive blowout in game 2 where he lost minutes, Harden has played great this series. There is some blowout risk still, but with the way Jayson Tatum is playing I’m confident Boston can keep it close enough for Harden to get full minutes. If he gets full minutes, he’s a fantastic play every slate.

Marcus Smart ($6,500)

Smart has played very well the last 3 games. He gets a ton of minutes and he has a little more usage and upside if Kemba is out like he is expected to be.

SG

James Harden (10,600)

Harden is also SG eligible.

Marcus Smart ($6,500)

Smart is also SG eligible.

Norman Powell ($5,600)

I’m going with Powell here just because SG doesn’t look great for cash. I would try to have one of the top two guys in this spot today. With that being said, Powell isn’t a bad play. He’s played well over the last 2 games and he gets a ton of minutes. His range of outcomes is a little worrisome, but because of how weak SG is as a whole I expect Powell to have decent ownership which makes himm fine for cash.

SF

Kevin Durant ($10,200)

KD has scored 52, 52, 62 and 61 DK points in the 4 games so far on the series. He’s a very safe cash play with great upside as well.

LeBron James ($9,800)

LeBron is also SF eligible.

Kyle Kuzma ($4,600)

Kuzma will be the top value on the slate if AD is out like he’s expected to be. He will be super chalk for good reason and I expect him to have a big day.

PF

Kevin Durant ($10,200)

KD is also PF eligible.

Jayson Tatum ($10,000)

Tatum is one of my favorite spend up’s on the slate and he should be highly owned. He’s been playing great over the last 2 games, scoring 50 and 40 real life points. If the Celtics have any chance to keep the game close, Tatum has to have another big performance.

Kyle Kuzma ($4,600)

Kuzma is also PF eligible.

C

Nikola Jokic ($10,400)

Jokic is always one of the best plays on any slate he’s on and that’s no different here. He’s a guy you can plug into your cash lines and not think twice about it.

Deandre Ayton ($7,400)

Ayton is a great mid range option for center. He’s played great so far this series, scoring 44, 37, 41 and 42 DK points. He’s a guy that’s going to consistently get high 30’s to low 40’s minutes. I’m very comfortable with Ayton in cash.

GPP Leverage:

Cameron Payne ($5,400)

Cam Payne is a guy that I don’t think a lot of people will be on with Chris Paul playing good minutes and having a good game last time out. Even though Paul seems to be mostly recovered from the injury sand back playing over 30 minutes, Payne still played 25 minutes and scored 28 DK points. He’s a good ppm guy and he’s the first one of the bench at the point for Phoenix.

Devin Booker ($8,100)

Booker has cooled off over the last 3 games since starting the playoffs with a 55 DK point performance. He scored 34 and 31 points in the first 2 games, but has only managed 19 and 17 over the last 2. The series is headed back to PHO and Booker is always a threat to pop off with a massive score.

Evan Fournier ($6,200)

Fournier hasn’t had a big performance so far in the series, but he’s always GPP viable because of his upside. He plays a ton of minutes and when he gets hot shooting he can really put up a big number.

Michael Porter Jr. ($7,000)

MPJ has really been awful so far in the playoffs outside of game 2, but we’ve seen the type of upside he has all season and $7k is too cheap for the type of GPP upside he has.

Robert Covington ($4,800)

RoCo is consistently getting mid-high 30’s minutes and is playing some 5 as well. He’s had two solid games in a row and I think he’s GPP viable at $4,800.

Jusuf Nurkic ($7,100)

Nurkic is a risky play with slate breaking upside. He’s had 2 40+ DK point performances already this series, but he’s also fouled out of 2 games as well. If he can stay out of foul trouble, he’s a fantastic play.

Andre Drummond ($5,200)

Drummond is kind of a wildcard on this slate. Logically, he should be in a really good spot to get a lot of minutes with AD out. He won’t lose minutes to AD playing the small ball 5. With that being said, his minutes are really inconsistent and the Lakers could just as easily throw out Mark Gasol for 26 minutes.

Bargain Bin:

Payton Pritchard and Romeo Langford

With Kemba Walker out, both Pritchard and Langford should be in a position to get good run. It’s a toss up on which will be the better value, but I lean more toward Pritchard.

Bruce Brown ($3,500)

Brown is coming off of a 26 DK point performance. His minutes are really inconsistent so I would only look to him in GPP’s, but if he gets the opportunity he can crush the $3,500 price tag.

Kyle Kuzma ($4,600)

As I mentioned eariler, Kuzma is the top value play on the slate if AD misses the game as he is expected to.

Spend Up Rankings:

  1. LeBron James
  2. Jayson Tatum
  3. James Harden
  4. Nikola Jokic
