GPP Leverage Plays:
Tyler Herro
Herro’s minutes aren’t good at all right now, making him a pretty risky play. That said, he should be low owned and can still get the minutes on any given night. If he gets the minutes at low ownership, it can be a great tournament play.
Jimmy Butler
jimmy played awful in the last game. I’m hoping that keeps his ownership low tonight. I’m confident Jimmy can kick it into the next gear like he did in the bubble last season. One of my favorite GPP plays.
Duncan Robinson
Robinson is a tournament play prototype. Risky because he relies on scoring, but if he does get going he can make a big impact in GPP’s. He’s viable in tournaments every single game.
Cameron Payne
Payne stepped up in a big way with Chris Paul limited last game, scoring 39 DK points. Paul is still not 100% and will still be very limited, so I’m going back ti the well with Payne here. I’m fine with eating the chalk.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
KCP has played awful in the first 2 meeting between these teams, so I’m hoping the ownership stays low. He’s not going to keep shooting this bad and after LeBron’s little talk to him, I think he’s going to go out with a chip on his shoulder and really pick it up. Love KCP in tournaments.
Enes Kanter
This one is risky. Kanter has played awful this post season, but the way Jusuf Nurkic always gets into foul trouble, Kanter is always a large field GPP play. If Nurkic gets in to fouul trouble, Kanter can really destroy his salary.
Cash Plays:
Jrue Holiday
Jrue is just a safe overall play. Consistent minutes, consistent performance. He’s playing great so far in the playoffs.
Goran Dragic
Dragic feels pretty safe for cash. He’s played well so far in the playoffs and you can expect his mid-high 20s minutes pretty consistently. He still has some upside at this pricetag if he gets extra minutes like he did in game 1 of the series.
Deandre Ayton
Ayton is a super safe play based off the minutes alone. 42 and 37 minutes in the first 2 games of the series, it’s tough for him to not get you there in cash with that much opportunity. He’s also playing great, recording a 20+ point double-double in each of the first 2 games.
Anthony Davis
Davis really picked it up in game 2 of the series. He played more small ball 5 and had his way with Ayton. I like him again here, especially if they play him at the 5 some more.
Michael Porter Jr.
I know MPJ busted us all last time out, but his price is still too low. He’s going to be chalk again in cash and not having him is going to hurt you a lot if he doesn’t bust.
Bargain Bin:
Duncan Robinson ($4,600)
Cameron Payne ($4,800)
KCP ($4,300)
Enes Kanter ($3,800)
