Cash Plays

Luka Doncic ($10,800)

Luka is where I’ll be starting most of my lineups tonight. Very safe play for cash and obviously has the GPP upside as well. In a great matchup vs SAC and a usage bump with Kristaps Porzingis being out, it’s tough to pass on Luka on this slate.

Drew Eubanks ($3,200)

Jakob Poeltl was just ruled out, so Eubanks should be inserted into the starting lineup (not official yet). Eubanks is a good point per minute guy and will be one of the best value plays on the slate if he does get the start. The last time he had 20+ minutes he scored 39.75 DK points.

Lonnie Walker IV ($3,500)

Walker has been seeing increased playing time since Derrick White got injured, with 29 and 34 minutes in his last 2 games, scoring 24.75 and 32.5 DK points in those games respectively.  With Dejounte Murray now questionable as well, Walker may be one of the best values on the slate. He’s viable regardless, but if Murray ends up sitting I like him a whole lot more.

GPP Plays

Jusuf Nurkic ($7,200)

Nurkic is a low owned tournament option with serious upside. His minutes have fluctuated a bit recently but I’d expect mid to high 20s for him tonight. Nurkic has been inconsistent this season but he has shown 50+ fantasy point upside twice in his last 5 games. It’s a risky GPP play, but if you’re making a bunch of lineups I think it’s worth having some Nurkic ownership.

Jaylen Brown ($8,400)

We have a good opportunity here to make an ownership play on Jaylen Brown. Jayson Tatum is going to be popular tonight with everyone box score watching and chasing his 60 point game a couple nights ago. Rolling with Jaylen Brown is not only a good low ownership play, but it’s also a direct pivot off of a chalk Jayson Tatum. If we get a big night from Brown, that will usually also mean Jason Tatum didn’t have a smash night because there’s only so many points to go around. Big fan of pivoting off of Tatum for Brown tonight.

Buddy Hield ($7,000)

Tyrese Haliburton is going to be chalk on this slate with De’Aaron Fox out. One way we can get different in GPP’s is to take the direct pivot off of Haliburton and onto Hield. Hield has hit 40+ DK points in 3 of his last 5 games. It’s not the safest play but it’a the type of play that help you gain leverage in a GPP when it works out.

Bargain Bin

Lonnie Walker IV ($3,500)

Walker has been seeing increased playing time since Derrick White got injured, with 29 and 34 minutes in his last 2 games, scoring 24.75 and 32.5 DK points in those games respectively.  With Dejounte Murray now questionable as well, Walker may be one of the best values on the slate. He’s viable regardless, but if Murray ends up sitting I like him a whole lot more.

Patty Mills ($3,100)

Patty Mills is another guy who will benefit if Murray is out. While  definitely not in as good of a spot as Lonnie Walker, Mills will still see some more run if Murray is out and can be worth a dart throw in GPP’s.

Khem Birch ($5,100)

Khem Birch still being $5,100 is just criminal pricing by DK. At this price, Birch has went for 6x+ in his last 4 games, including 8x+ in his last 2. He’s hot to say the least. Don’t overthink it, ride the Khem Birch hot streak until he cools off or gets priced appropriately.

LaMelo Ball ($6,800)

I know it doesn’t seem right to have someone who’s $6,800 listed as a ‘value play’, but it’s the truth. Melo was priced in the $9k’s not long ago at all. He’s returned from injury and immediately played 28 minutes. He’s a great point per minute guy and his price is going to get back up into the $8k’s in no time. Let’s take advantage of the price while we can.

Willie Cauley-Stein ($3,100)

With Kristaps Porzingis out last game, Cauley-Stein played 27 minutes and had 28.5 DraftKings points. If he’s going to get minutes like that with Porzingis out againt tonight then he is a really solid value play at just $3,100.

Marvin Bagley III ($4,500)

Keep an eye on news to see what happens, but if Bagley ends up getting the start here he could be one of the best values on the slate. He came back from injury last game and played 21 minutes off the bench. With Metu doubtful, Bagley has a chance to get the start in this game and at $4,500 he’d be a great value.
