NBA First Look | 10/25

October 25, 2021 by Dylan Bell

Welcome to the NBA 10/25 First Look! To kick off every weekday slate throughout the season I will be going over a few players who stand out to me after a first look. Make sure you never miss the article by joining our free DFS newsletter!

10/25 Picks:

George Hill, PG

DK : $3,500 | FD: $4,300

Analysis: With Jrue Holiday listed as Doubtful, George Hill looks like a solid value play once again. Hill should see 25+ minutes with Holiday out and should be able to make value easily at his price tag.

Damian Lillard, PG

DK : $10,300 | FD: $10,100

Analysis: We’re getting a $1k price drop on Lillard because of his down games to start the season. He shot bad in the first game of the season and then only played 24 minutes in game 2 because of a blowout. I’m not letting that scare me away from Lillard at a great price in this game against the Clippers. The o/u is sitting at 231.0 with LAC as 3 point favorites.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker, SG

DK : $6,700 | FD: $6,100

Analysis: NAW has been playing great basketball to start the season. He has 34+ DraftKings points in all 3 games so far and he’s getting it done in a bunch of ways. He’s scoring, getting boards, getting steals and getting blocks. I’m riding NAW’s hot start for as long as it goes on.

Kevin Durant, SF/PF

DK : $10,200 | FD: $11,000

Analysis: KD might be my favorite spend up on the slate. Durant is playing a lot better than James Harden to start the season so if you want exposure to a BKN superstar I definitely prefer Durant. He’s taking 20-25 shots a game, shooting very well to start the season and has double digit rebounds in 2/3 games so far.

Paul George, SF

DK : $10,100 | FD: $10,500

Analysis: PG is another great pay up option at SF. With Kawhi out, George is getting all the usage in the world for the Clippers. He’s taken 23 and 25 shots in the first 2 games of the season and has a double-double with rebounds in each game as well. George’s floor and ceiling are going to be very high all season long with Kawhi out.

Precious Achiuwa, C

DK : $4,500 | FD: $4,600

Analysis: Most of the value plays we’ve been targeting to start the season have had price bumps for this slate, but I still like Achiuwa even at $4,500. His minutes have gone up every game, he’s had 30+ DraftKings points in each of the last 2 games and he’s getting a lot of rebounds, recoding double-double’s in each of the last 2 games as well. I still like Achiuwa a lot at $4,500.
