NFL Top Stacks | Week 6

Week 6 Stacks:

Patrick Mahomes + Tyreek Hill (KC)

+ R. Seals-Jones (WAS)

Analysis: This feels like a get-right game for KC, or a ‘tune-up’ game as Warden Hazen from The Longest Yard would say. The Kansas City offense has not been it’s usually self as of late. This game against Washington, who’s defense doesn’t worry me at all, just feels like the game where they’re going to get back to their old ways. It seems like the perfect opportunity for Mahomes to bully a secondary around a little bit and get the Chiefs offensive swagger back.

The reason I prefer Tyreek in the stack instead of Travis Kelce, besides the much higher upside, is because we already have the perfect value bring back in TE Ricky Seals-Jones. It doesn’t matter if Logan Thomas is on IR, Washington still loves using their TE’s in the passing game. Ricky Seals-Jones had 8 targets in Week 5 as he started in place of Thomas. With Thomas still on IR, it feels like a great spot to target RSJ at min price vs the Chiefs weak pass defense.

L. Jackson + M. Andrews / M. Brown (BAL)

+ A. Ekeler / K. Allen (LAC)

Analysis: It was hard to decide which QB I wanted to stack in this game. They’re both fantastic options. I’m rolling with Lamar because he’s projection out as the highest scorer on the slate right now and he has a very high floor because of the rushing ability. This game screams ‘shootout’ to me and I think they’re are a lot of stacking options on both sides. You can pair Lamar with either Mark Andrews or Hollywood Brown, or you can do a double stack with both considering Andrews is underpriced. Both options are perfectly viable.

As for the Chargers bring backs, Ekeler and Allen are my preferred options but Mike Williams is also perfectly fine as well if he plays. You can’t go wrong with any of them. I expect there to be a lot of scoring in this one.

Matthew Stafford + Cooper Kupp (LAR)

Analysis: Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp have been one of the safest stacks all season long. Stafford has played great and has only put up less than 20 DK points in 1 game this season. And in that game he scored 18 which still doesn’t kill you in cash games. Cooper Kupp has yet to have a game this season with less than double digit targets. His 2 down games this season were against the only undefeated team remaining in the Cardinals and last week where Robert Woods had a major outlier game, catching 12 of his 14 targets for 150 yards. I expect Kupp to get back on his dominant track this week in a favorable matchup vs the Giants.

I don’t have any bring backs listed yet because the top 4 WR’s for the Giants are all injured. Kenny Golladay is doubtful, while Sterling Shepard and Kadarius Toney are questionable. If Golladay misses this game I do like either Shepard or Toney as a fairly cheap bring back.

Ezekiel Elliott + Cowboys DST (DAL)

Analysis: It’s not often I mention a RB + DST stack, but I do like this one quite a bit. The Patriots have not been great against the run this season and the Cowboys are running it more and more with Zeke and Pollard. We’re seeing less Dak Prescott 40-50 pass attempt games like we seen last season before his injury and in week 1 this season, and we’re seeing a lot more running with Zeke and Pollard. Zeke is very involved in the passing game and he has at least 1 TD in the last 4 games.

As for the Cowboys DST, they’ve been very stingy this season. They have 2 INT’s in all 5 games and they’re up against a rookie QB in Mac Jones who has a 1:1 TD/INT ratio so far in his career. The Patriots offense is also just bad. The Pats have only scored more than 17 points in 2 out of 5 games this season.
